Why is Spector betraying us?
Why would Spector betray us this way? Is there a big pork promise in that bill for Pennsylvania or some campaign donor of his? I just don't understand how Spector can vote for this horrible pork stimulus bill that will take down our currency, throw more people out of work, and hurt all Americans.

Arlen Spector is not betraying anyone. He is exactly who he has always been, a moderate-liberal who is Republican in name only. If you remember George W. Bush supported him in his last campaign in a tight Republican primary. This is exactly the type of action that you can expect from Spector. You can also add Collins and Snow from Maine to the list of Republicans in Name Only. Of course they are led by presidential loser candidate John McCain who seems to have become the little darling of the media despite trying to hold on to his maverick image.
Source(s): Interesting article from the L.A. Times about Rush Limbaugh and how he's hurting the Republican party. They know little and understand less, yet they tell us conservatives how we can fix ourselves. - dirtydan2Lv 41 decade ago
