Flight of the Conchords are touring, BUT?

I really enjoy the show and I get great laughs out of their songs. However, if I go to a concert and see thousands of people filling halls to see them, will it ruin the illusion that makes the show so great? The whole "band with one fan, and THAT ONE is unstable" atmosphere is what really makes the show for me. That, and the New Zealand/Australia struggle. Also afraid that after seeing them, the next step would be waiting in line for "Weird Al" tickets.

If you are a fan, what would you do?

I got my tickets in the mail today for the Phoenix show.

I see your point about the band with one fan thing, but we all know the show is popular and so are the songs, so that illusion is already blown.

    Go! It will be fun!

I am a fan, and if they would tour (which they're not) even close to me I would defiantly go! The illusion of the TV show is just that, an illusion. The one fan is what makes them kind of ironic, but their music is what makes them fun/funny! I have heard their concerts are a blast to go to, think of their music sets during the show, very ordinary but extremely creative at the same time. Times that energy by 1000!

Hey I'm a huge Conchords fan BUT- I have to say this season is extremely disappointing so far. I would love to go and see them live, but I would look for the smallest venue you can find. Still hoping the season gets better. I gotta go. Its Wednesday and you know what that means.
