Im taking driving lessons at the mo too and i used to get really nervous but not so bad now... and im sure you will get more confidence as well as you progress and get better! Remember everyone had to learn at one time and ignore impatient drivers, blank them out that's what i do!
I've stalled over a hundred times and got to the point where i wanted to give up but i overcame it and you will to =)
Just concentrate on what your doing and the teachers instructions blank out everything else... all the worries!
When you stop at traffic lights... put the gear into first, apply the handbrake, bring the clutch up to the biting point (you will feel it) and hold it. When the light flashes yellow, apply gas and you'll move slowly then bring the clutch up slowly and apply more gas and into 2nd gear. Sounds complicated but the more you do it the easier it will seem, promise!
Dont give up! x

I use to cry just by sitting in the driver's seat. I kept driving, eventually I became comfortable with it. It takes practice and the willingness to keep going. It took me two years not to get sweaty palms and have a racing heart whenever I drove. Take deep, slow breaths when you start feeling the panic starting, this will help calm your body. Give yourself time to slow down at the stops or lights. If you need to get across traffic, take a longer and safer route until you feel ready. It takes time and experience, but you will get it. If I can drive without breaking into tears, you will be able to get over your nerves of driving issues!

no longer inevitably 'conning' you as any solid instructor is going to basically make it easier to artwork at the same time with heavy site visitors, complicated junctions and better speeds once you've established you are able to deal with the fundamentals, that are almost continuously taught in quiet parts. That reported, in case you experience you're waiting to regulate the motorcar competently in those quiet situations then perchance you should be interacting with different site visitors because it truly is adverse for your gaining knowledge of doing, say, junctions for hour upon hour, even as there is fairly no longer something round. i in my opinion get my scholars out of the quiet parts once i'll. I fairly have routes that i have learnt and subsequently use which, in my ideas, I fairly have graded in problem/safe practices. subsequently if you're a weaker motive force i'd use a safer quieter direction, while a helpful able motive force, i'd use a miles better tricky direction early on. save in ideas it is your man or woman money so if you're unhappy spend it elsewhere. there are this variety of very good variety of *insert expletive* driving instructors obtainable at modern so, if you're anxious, attempt some different person. in case you stay everywhere close to Stoke or Stafford provide me a call lol. also; do no longer basically pass for the most inexpensive, there is oftentimes a rationalization why they're so more cost-effective. ultimately all of us is diverse, in certain cases human beings take a lengthy time period to hit upon common approaches to rigidity in certain cases a shorter time. I basically fairly have one purpose even as i'm training...and that is to make you the finished and safest motive force i'll. Hoper that permits. contact me from the variety on my website once you've any questions about something. continuously satisfied to assist ;o)

Nerves are a terrible handicap especially when driving, you are trying to do to much in one go, so here's what you have to do, spend two hours at the weekend using a huge car park from a factory learning the car till it becomes second nature, once you have done this you will only have to concentrate on the roads so you have halved what you have to concentrate on, good luck and don't give up it will be worth the effort, and when you finally pass remember what you had to go through to pass then drive accordingly.

I take it you are young? You need to get a friend, or relative to take you out driving as much as possible. You are probably nervous because of the instructor. If you get more experience with a friend or relative, you won't be so nervous about making mistakes. PS if you drink coffee, lay off it on days you have lessons.
Good luck

The key is to look well ahead on the approach to round abouts, by doing this it can prevent you from having to stop at all, if you have to stop, concertrate on other vehicles indications and the lane's their in.
Traffic lights, just make sure your looking well ahead so you can decide what actions to take, lanes etc.
good luck.

If your driving instructor allows you to, keep the clutch pushed down and put the car in 1st gear as soon as you stop. Keep your right foot on the foot brake then apply the handbrake, then you can take your foot of the foot brake. This way you are sat at the lights ready, as soon as they turn yellow you can start to pull away (obvsly release handbrake) and your off!! Sounds complicated i guess but its not!!

Just take your time :)
People understand that your a learner, even though they aren't always nice to you lol
But its better to do it slowly rather than to panic and go too fast because this could be dangerous and wont make you feel any better, just take your time, Hope i helped :)
Good luck for the future, wish you luck on your test xx

I got none for you! I'm taking driving lessons and they don't really seem to be helping. I get real nervous too and my instructor basically berated me last friday. I think I'm going to fire him. Good luck to you =)
