Amateur photographer: Are my photos any good?
I'm a beginner at this whole photography business, I've been into it for about a MONTH now. And I'm really not sure if my photo's are bad, good, terrible, or all right. My friends say they're great, but I don't really trust their opinion on the matter, since, well... they're my friends. Haha.
So, please, be brutal! And constructive criticism is highly appreciated and welcome. I want to improve as much as I can.

This is going to hurt so will say sorry now.Only the Light pics were of interest. The dog why put one up that has been cropped yes I no he moved next he was out of focus. These were very amateurish yes you are starting out so don't go online but go to a library read as many books as you can on the subject then go out with a clear idea. Many Pros have binned more than they would admit to so try to forgive me as you do show promise, look at them with a lens must be pin sharp or moody look for a point of interest no good telling me its a temple I need to see for myself.Do you use TRI/mono pods they let you to stand back, hand held are for close ups in my mind.

Here on Yahoo! Answers, the majority of people answering these sorts of questions really have no experience, and are just assuming. I am an amateur, not a professional, but i do know a few things about photography. A few of your photographs are Great, but Alot of them are boring, and the compositions are off. For example, the photograph of the bench, that is not interest in the least really. A lot of them i like, just take more interesting photographs, and watch your composition. The picture of the dog isn't good either, the composition is way off, and it appears blurry.
When you first get a good camera, you take a few pictures and think ' wow, these are great ', when they are not. But take what some of these people are saying into account with their criticisms. I liked a few of them, it's the ones like this that are not Great:

For someone just starting, they aren't bad in my opinion ;)

Very nice! They are a lot nicer than some photographers I know! Keep up the good work.
I love deviant art's website btw, they have so many creative people on there. I love to look at the pictures.

I wish I had taken pictures like that when I'd been shooting for only a month, or even a year!
You have a great vision, and it shows. Do the world a favor and take more photos.

For some good constructive criticism, make yourself a Flickr account. I have one here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kaiiit
I myself am an amateur photographer and have gotten a lot of advice through flickr.
If you make one - add me as contact =P

probably just my personal opinion, but I think they are great. I love the black and white effect. Keep up the good work. Have you tried selling any to newspapers or magazines.

Seriously, they were really good, and inviting, I really liked them, there were just a few that I thought were kind of bad positioning, like the dog's face was in a random place?
Really good (Y)
Keep up (Y)
