What is better, that I contact the lender myself or to hire a lawyer, how can I make sure I get the best deal, doing myself or with a lawyer, any advise??

Some lenders will not negotiate with any 3rd party about your loan. WHich means that you are going to get the best possible deal by yourself. Then you could pay an attorney for one hour of her time to analyze the lender's best offer. Rather than paying the attorney for the time she spent "on hold" with the lender.

Right now, the best deal i have seen have been either "6 months with no payments" or "4 months with no payments but the loan is extended from 30 to 40 years; and the interest rate was lowered to 4.5% fixed for the remainder of the term". If you get one of those, you can't get much better.
