Search Engine is messed up. Coupon Mountain?
Whenever I do a search it looks like I'm getting proper results, but what I am actually getting is a bunch of sites that are selling things. I totally can't use internet search. The big culprit seems to be couponmountain.com. How do I get rid of this.
Google search "gallstones"
web results include:
excite.com
raccugliamd.com
abingtonanesthetic.com
lowpriceshopper.com
Nothing to do with the search topic. Doesn't matter whether I used IE7 or Firefox.

Don't let the constellation of external parasites "pirate" your system in the first place: stop these guys @ your 'doorstep' & keep them out:

Use this feature to block unwanted advertising re-direct:
With NS running, down on the far right corner is a blue 'S' with a red line through it: right click that> tick 'forbid -------' &/or mark as 'untrusted'.
(Ticking all may reduce interactive behavior; enable just enough to get what's necessary)

Server based spy/adware, that tracks your surfing & builds a profile of your surfing: requires "Opt Out"...

Turn off 'spell check' may help, as this sends keystrokes back to the server also, which may be used to 'target' advertising.
Good luck. :)

Tell us what search engine you are using, what is the exact search phrase (i.e. the term you are putting in the box), and what are the URLs of the first 4 results.
That way we can tell if you are infected with spyware or if other people are getting the same results and the problem is what you are searching for.
