ADELAIDE people, do you know how much it costs to have a minor service on a mitsubishi outlander done?
Hi there, I have recently purchased an outlander and now i'm concerned as someone told me tonight that the services cost a fortune - so if you know roughly how much a standard service is (keeping in mind it has to be done at an approved mechanics) and could let me know, that would be great. Thanks!

At 15,000 you should do a LOF, tire rotation, and general visual inspection of the hoses, belts, etc. I.0 hour labor charge.
At 30,000 miles, everything in the 15,000 maintenance plus, valve adjustment, tune up, coolant flush, ATF changed, and if AWD have the transfer case and rear differential fluids changed.
At 60,000 miles, add the timing belt replacement to a 30,000 mile service.
If you have the AWD version make sure you rotate the tires every 7,500 miles to make them last and only replace them in sets of 4. If the tires wear to different diameters it puts more wear on the viscous coupling that functions to take up the speed differences in the drive train when turning.
Protect your vehicle and only service it at a Mitsubishi Dealer wher the correct types of fluids for the transmission, transfer case and differential are in stock.
NGK spark plugs and factory air and oil filters I highly recommend.
Don't use Fram oil filters, they cause lash adjuster noise.

I don't know much about cars but I had to have mine done because my trucking was dragging. I found out about the transfer case and that in the transfer case there's a rear, front and 4wd differential. Also supposed to flush out tranny too. I'm not rich, so the first month I had the tranny flushed at $60.00, then the 2 months later changed the rear and 4wd fluid at $135.00, 4 months later I finally had the front dif oil changed at $60.00. If you can't afford it at one time you can break it up then it's more affordable. I got mine done at a Mobile oil change drive-through.

once you're doing by potential of your self you will in all risk spend $450-$550. once you are going to take it to a vehicle restoration center its going to cost $1500-$2050. you ought to restoration it your self as that saves you around $950-$1600.
