Inexpensive but romantic place to eat in Houston?

Me and girlfriend celebrate Valentine's early to beat the rush....But, with the economic conditions we really can't afford a lavish lunch/dinner. Can anyone suggest a place in Houston that's quaint, romantic but affordable. Thanks!

Sorry, not sure what you mean by inexpensive. I'm sure you don't mean Carl's Jr., but you get what you pay for. If you want a view and something cheap, make some sandwiches and go to Griffith Park. A view with service, The Castaway. That view will cost you.

    Try:

    Flor de Cuba

    (281) 463-8611

    16233 Clay Rd, #344

    Houston, TX

Great food at great prices. Dinner for two will run you about $20-$25 depending on what you order. Fresh shakes and fruit ices and a bakery on the premises for the bread, flan, and rice pudding.

Put on your dancing shoes because on Friday and Saturday night they have some good bands and room to dance!

    Happy Valentine's Day!

I love french food so I always go to La Madeleine. It isnt to fancy but it is rather beautiful and their food is wonderful. It is also a great bakery and has a bunch of yummy sweets and gifts you could buy. It isnt very expansive either.

Dude, if you really want to make it special, cook for her. There's so much you can do in your own kitchen for cents on the dollar compared to a restaurant.

That being said, I am taking my wife out on Saturday. Last night, though, I made her Persian kebabs with all the fixin's.

McDonald's is a great place. I take all the chicks there for my dates. If I really want to splurge I take them to Bojangles.
