Themes for decorating a room?

My best friends re- doing her room and needs to think of a theme. She might want to do a beach theme but needs more options. Shes almost 15. Thanks

There are alot of different beach themes...ocean, tropical, Hawaiin, light houses, sailboats, fish, ..
Here are some other ideas too:
fashion
French style
shabby chic
zebra (or any animal she likes)
hippie or retro
her favorite flowers
The easiest way to start is to find a comforter that she loves and take the colors and inspiration from it.  Tell her to look at these  pics and see if she likes any of these rooms:

a beach theme sounds great she could paint her walls a light blue and accent in white :)

maybe a light purple room with like pink and white things. i really like the beachy scene too. maybe get inspiration from discovery channel and tlc
