Try Olympic Weightlifting. (not actual olympics, just the same lifts)
I was never active, and my dad got me involved and I've been doing it for 3 years.

Are you a girl or a guy?
Well you can do figure skating (I'm a figure skater -- there are more girls than guys but guys still do it!)
Karate
Tae Kwon Do
Fencing
Track and field
Weightlifting (join a gym and go on a regular basis, like 4 times a week)
Umm that's all I can think of for unique sports ;)
You can also try tennis (not to many ppl play tennis but it is pretty popular)
Basketball
Volleyball
Badminton
Dance (hip hop/break/tap for guys and girls ballet/jazz/lyrical for girls)
Gymnastics (guys can be gymnasts too and not many ppl are good at it!)
Swimming
Hope this helps!

Badminton?
Basketball?
Volleyball?
Swimming?
Tennis?
Track?
It's "mandatory" (>:|) in our school to join a club or sport in grade nine. I think I'm going to join Badminton Club. Sigh..
Good luck :)
** If you go to your principal/secretary they can probably present you with a list of all the sports/activities your school offers, be sure to ask so you can make a better decision!
** Or in your agenda, if you have one. There's sometimes a list in there. Or your school website. Sorry I keep coming back to edit this XP

before clicking on your question I thought of soccer, but then rethought because i've played for 6 years now and you can't really join in at this age (i'm guessing your around 13?) alot of other sports are the same, it's hard to join now if you are just learning the rules/etc
try gymnastics or beginners dance :]
edit: if it doesn't have to be athletic, COOKING IS ALWAYS FUN!!
