Funny or Mean?: Valentines Day Card for Divorcing Friend?

I purchased my friend a valentines day card and was informed that it may be mean, I want your opinion. The friend is going through a divorce and this is her first VD alone. The card has a sweet little cupid who has dropped a dildo hitting a woman sitting on a bench in a park on the head. His caption reads "sorry, I'm all out of arrows." I thought it hysterical, but another friend thought it was mean... I really don't care because I am giving it to her as in my world funny trumps mean.

My inside signing says "so the real question is why does cupid have a dildo?

Funny or mean?

Update:

She is a very close friend and it comes with an awesome gift...

Update 2:

Part of the gift is a glass pipe, so by the end of the night it will surely be funny...

Update 3:

Girls night out on Friday!

I think that this is a most suitable card indeed. It shows you have given thought and consideration into selecting the card for her and not just picked the first one off the shelf.

Maybe you could enhance the event by buying her a dildo to go with the card? This would make her day.

    Hope this helps

Courtney...of course in the real world, funny trumps mean.

And Cupid has been handing out those dildos forever....after all, not everyone gets struck by his arrow...so they should have something.

Cupid is a wonderful little creature, and he thinks of everyone on this Valentines Day....even those who will be alone.

If you can't be with the one you love, Honey, love the one your with. And here is something to help you out with that.

And I agree with BE, I think we all need to go, I'll bring refills....for the glass present.

Okay all 3 people in my living room agree it is hysterical. In fact my friend commented that "she wished cupid would drop a dildo on her head or between her legs". LMAO

Now go give your friend her card and then take her out!

    (Im coming to right?)

I think it's funny. It'll also show her that you care about her and want to cheer her up. Go ahead and give it to her. Perhaps also get her a box of chocolates to give her some chocolate-happiness, too. =) Interesting card, by the way. I do wonder why cupid would have a dildo...

Not at all funny. People who do things like this usually have a low self esteem.

Funny. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs a surgical operation to get a joke withing their understanding.
