The us has a long history of anti-catholicism. Like everything in this country it ebbs and flows. remember the pilgrams and puritians settled this country. they were very radical protestant groups. The us retains much of this heritage. To an extent, anti-catholicsim is a part of the american culture.

He is being sued. He is a filthy animal and destroyed American Public school system. People like him should be brought up on charges of treason if I had my way.

I think it is very frightening. I do not know how many protestants teach that Catholics are not Christians, but it is something that I know for sure is in fact common enough to be significant.

This is one of the reasons that I do not simply accept as genuine every person who claims to be Christian. Many famous co-called Christian preachers are viciously anti-Catholic. John Hagee is one of the worst.

We need to be aware of the fact that not all so-called Christians are truly Christians at all. In my opinion, anyone sufficiently well-educated to call himself or herself a preacher who is actively anti-Catholic is not merely mistaken, but is in fact a liar.

I'm not referring to the many thousands of Christian preachers and ministers who are merely not Roman Catholic. Those people I believe are merely mistaken. But many people who claim to be Christians are not merely non-Catholic, they are strongly anti-Catholic. They hate The One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. They are not merely separate from us innocently, they are actively against us.

Our best approach to this is to become better educated about The Bible. Most anti-Catholics pervert scripture to support their hatred and bigotry. When we can quote chapter and verse to demonstrate their lies using the Bible they are often helpless. They often worship The Bible, at least the parts of The Bible that they have not thrown out. Catholics need to be much better educated about what the Bible says and means than we often have been in the past.

We also need to be very attentive to our public school operations. It is not acceptable to send children off to school and simply trust that all is well. We need to talk with children more, and we need to be very bold in confronting problems with anti-Catholic bias in the classroom.

If at all possible, we need to support catholic schools with financial donations, and if we have children of school age, we need to send them to Catholic schools. Even if we have children in Catholic schools, we still need to stay very active in their education, and very attentive to what is being taught at their school.

The story you referred to us is shocking and very frightening. It is obviously an extreme example of anti-Catholic bias by the teacher and apparently anti-Christian bias on the part of the school. There is an organization that can help confront such problems. It is called the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ). Their website has many stories about how they have helped to make legal defenses of the freedon to practice religion in many situations - especially in public schools.
