The WatchTower Quotes from "The Catholic Encyclopedia"?
I've noticed that the Watchtower quotes from the New Catholic Encyclopedia ...Exactly Where can I get a copy of that?
I have already been told by a witness it's NOT a Catholic but a catholic... as in universal. Don't you think that's misleading or deceitful?
19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDo you ever read Holy Cards?
I love Holy Cards...The prayers are so spiritual.
For me they are absolute poetry I in prayer. The author's must be on a very high spiritual place (in their heart).
The pictures are so eloquent.
I have them marking my favorite pages in my Bibles. Some of them I've saved from funerals others I bought.
Do any of you keep Holy Cards or use them in prayer?
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoCatholics: Have you seen the latest addition of the WatchTower?
I'm reading the latest addition of the WatchTower/Aug 1, 2009. On page 5 the topic reads: Good Religion Promotes High Moral Standards.
Topic: Divorce
What the Bible teaches: when asked whether there was ever grounds for divorce, Jesus said:"Whoever puts away his wife, except for immorality, and marries another, commits adultery."-Matthew 19:9,
New Catholic Edition of the Holy Bible.
(I've never heard of this addition???) Have You?
The article goes on to read:
Question: Does this religion (I'm assuming they are addressing the Catholic Church)
respect Jesus' direction and allow divorce and remarriage- but only on the grounds of immorlity?
Topic: Sexual morality
Blah, Blah......
It continues on and finally comes to this part...
Question: Does this religion (I'm assuming they are addressing the Catholic Church)
teach that sexual immortality either between a man and a women or between a couple of the same sex is a sin?
Blah, Blah...
Topic: Courageously upholding Bible standards among it's members.
What the Bible teaches:
"You must not associate with those who call themselves believer's in Christ but who sin sexually, or are greedy, or worship false idols, or abuse others with words, or get drunk, or cheat people. Do not even eat with people like that." (1Cor 5:11, NCV) What should happen to those who claim to be Christian but who are unrepentant sinners? "Expel the wicked man from among you," state God's Word.- 1 Cor 5:13 NIV.
Question: Does this religion (I'm assuming they are addessing the Catholic Church)
remove from it's membership roll any who unrepentantly ignore Bible standards>
Anyway, it TARGETS the Catholic Church and leads the reader to FALSELY believe Catholics are having lued sex in they're marriages.. The WatchTower has No Regard for the Laws of God.

15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDo you think Gay people are part of Gods creation?
My brother is a 47 year old gay practicing Catholic. He adamantly believes that being gay is how God created him. His argument is that you can find examples of Gods (Gay) creation throughout the animal kingdom and to deny his sexual orientation is to deny part of Gods creation.
17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoA Protestant Bible Question?
If the Septuagint version (Catholic OT) is invalid, explain why they give Greek Septuagint names instead of Hebrew names, or their English equivalent names to the books of Moses.
Why call those books the Pentateuch instead of the Torah or its English designation, Instruction? Why Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers (translation of the Greek Arithmoi), and Deuteronomy? Instead of the Palestinian Hebrew names, Bereshith, Shemoth, Vayikra, Bemidbar, and Debarim? Or their English equivalents, The Beginning, Names, And He Called, In the Wilderness, and Words? Why call the Book "The Bible," which is the Greek name the Catholic Church gave the Septuagint in union with the New Testament?

If I ever did get to meet the Pope I would. So, what's wrong with that? It's not worship it's out of respect.

People in Japan do it.

Matt 16:18 And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build*** my church***, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
