Do you think Gay people are part of Gods creation?
My brother is a 47 year old gay practicing Catholic. He adamantly believes that being gay is how God created him. His argument is that you can find examples of Gods (Gay) creation throughout the animal kingdom and to deny his sexual orientation is to deny part of Gods creation.

Simply because animals do something in no way makes it acceptable for humans to do the such a thing. One must keep in mind that animals have no soul, and as such, cannot sin, and know not temptation.
The Holy Apostle Paul tells us many times that homosexuality is an abomination, saying: "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the immoral nor the idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals (arsenokoitai), nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor robbers shall inherit the kingdom of God."
In all of the Holy Fathers, none taught a message of something as close to tolerance for homosexuality. It is the universal teaching of the Church that homosexuality is a sin, and there is no level of acceptance for it within Christianity.
Now, of course your brother was part of God's creation, as we are all children of God, but the fact that he willingly sins in this matter and tries to offer a defense for it is absurd. These sort of acts are leading up to a lessening of the Churches teaching (something already experienced greatly in the west).

Part of the animal kingdom, most certainly, as homosexual behavior is common in the animal kingdom and in every primate species especially therefore since humans are merely great apes it is both normal and natural. Part of gods creation, definitely not since your sky fairy is a figment of your imagination.
The word god is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honourable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish. No interpretation no matter how subtle can (for me) change this.

Yes. In Matthew 19:12 Christ even states that some are born gay. He calls them "Natural Born Eunuchs."

God would not create a baby and make it gay so He can condiem it to Hell before the baby is even born

God's idea is perfect and stands forever. Human misconceptions fall by their own weight. Gay is not created or supported by God, but man is God's image (not the mortal man)

Gay people I know all say they have felt like they were "displaced in the wrong body" ever since they realized there was a difference in genders. In other words, they feel they were born the way they are because of a chromosome abnormality. I tend to agree with them. Are you trying to make your brother change his lifestyle?

Sounds about right. Unless of course you want to try to argue that these animals are choosing to be gay just to defy God:

That sounds pretty stupid when you're talking about a buck or a lion, doesn't it? Animals are the way they are. The way they were "created" so to speak. If this behavior is natural for them, then why is it not for humans?
I agree with Serendipity. Your brother sounds like a pretty smart guy.

They are to be looked with great compassion as all of his creation. It is not easy to remain celibate even if his being gay is built into nature. With Gods grace this can be achieved. Obviously he cannot give in to his cross which is a very heavy one to carry

As a Roman Catholic for almost 60 years, I can most assuredly tell you that your brother is dead wrong. You know it and I know it, and when your brother gets past his lying, he'll know it too. God, as in our loving and living Lord, Jesus our Christ, Bless you always.

God Bless you.
