which is better on PS3, call of duty 4 or call of duty world at war?

Have you seen cod4? its s**t hot and is in a different league to world at war. Cod4 is in partnership with infinity ward and world at wat is treyarch. Infinity ward is so much better. I have ps3 so add CRANSOM (ps3 online id) and you will get smashed !

Call of duty 4 is a much better game but fewer play it online. This isn't much of a difference. Buy them both though, 4 first then W@W as a new call of duty will be out this year. 4 will be most similar to the new one as it is made by the same company. 5 plays slightly differently. So i'd get 4 then 5 to get him prepared.

I own both and think they are both good in their own ways. The multiplayer in both are excellent (I'm actually playing the world at war online multiplayer more at the moment) and I think both story modes are good, though COD4's is probably better. I think you'd probably find more people playing World at War online at the moment so if that was a factor then maybe you should get it for him, I'm sure he'd like it. However, if he's into first person shooters in general I would wait for Killzone 2 as that looks like it'll be one of the best PS3 games to come out this year.

I am a gamer so if u want to spend a little extra money buy world at war but i would say they have there ups and downs cod5 actually happened so i found it quite enjoyable to play but i think on my own opioun that cod4 is better i just found the game play more fun and it felt more like im in the game

Buy Call of Duty World at War if you have already got Call of duty 4. Soon you will get tried of playing either COD4 or COD5 ( probably COD5 ). So definelty get BOTH games.

COD4 is the best. I'm a 33 year old gamer, and I love shooters. COD4 rocks. It is by far one of the best games ever. World at War has an ok offline, but for online play COD4 is hands down the best of the series.

call of duty world at war because call of duty 4 doesnt get you into what you would realy do and world at war your helping your sgt. pickup an injured soldier or moving things for cover its more realistic than 4 i love this game and i play online all the time get it for him

No World at War was horrible compared to 4 if you want a bigger online community then sure trade it but I think WaW was the worst.

call of duty world at war has more options Like Nazi Zombie mode.

many people still like call of duty4 too i think because it has better maps weapons and its modern warfare

i did not like world at war they went back to WWII unless you like games like that.

the easiest, very good story line, better graphics and better online game is call of duty 4

cod 5 is alright but if you like WWII then get that
