In regards to classification of plants...?

Since flowers become fruits, is it true to say all plants that bare fruit have flowers? Is the opposite also true (all flowering plants bare fruit)? and do conifers have flowers?

Your first assertion is generally true BUT: a more specific relationship is that flowers produce SEEDS.

It is better to avoid the term "fruit" here because the word does not have a specific botanical meaning. For example, some gymnosperms produce fleshy seed-bearing (not baring) female cones and "arils" that resemble fruits, but are not true fruits by some definitions.

Conversely, all seeds do not come from flowers.

  • Conifers -- Pine Family

    (Pinaceae)

The conifers are members of the Pine Family (Pinaceae), but not all of them are pine trees (Pinus). Fir trees (Abies) are also in this family, as are Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga) and spruce (Picea).

Members of this family do not have flowers -- instead, their seeds develop in cones.
