Help with Java or flash player.?

When I go to Youtube, I get the message "javascript disabled or you need a flash player to view". I tried to update both. I downloaded the flash player and updated the java, but still to no avail. What else can I do? It was working fine a couple of days ago. What happened?

Update:

Javascript is enabled, so that must not be the problem. I can also watch Youtube videos on other sites, but not on Youtube itself.

First, don't confuse Java and Javascript. While they share some similarities, they are quite different. Check your browser settings to see if you have Javascript disabled. If you have it disabled for security purposes, you should be able to enable it for a particular site and still be fairly secure.

I see your difficulty, when I first have been given my laptop it did that too. First once you get that web site opened for buying the latest flash participant you click acquire and don't restart your pc only pass away it on the web site for like a nil.5 an hour. Then it is going to artwork if it would not artwork it would desire to no longer in view which you have Vista. Do you have Vista?

There are a few things that might have gone wrong.

My first suggestion is to restart your computer.

You should also check your internet options in case your security setting is too high to let javascript run.
