I enjoy the chemistry of Van Gundy & Jackson, and the humor with Smith & Charles. I can't really compare in-studio analysts to game commentators though. Completely different. I think my fav is Doug Collins. His vast knowledge of the games nuances really provide some insight. Same with Hubie Brown. Plus Hubie's inadvertently funny to me when he calls everybody "the young man". He's an ancient dude, so everybody's a young man to him, but he's great.

I prefer Charles, Kenny and EJ. Those men are so hilarious and always know what they are talking about in regards to basketball. They do a good job of mixing comedy with basketball which is awesome.
I did not mind Webber but when Payton came into the picture; that was another story. They were like two dogs going at it back and forth. It was annoying.
As for Gundy and Jackson; to me, they do not provide any useful analysis and they make statements that are bold but very stupid. An example, LeBron is better than Bird (I think you can't make that statement considering LeBron has a lot more to accomplish in his career and Bird has done so much during his career; Give LeBron a few more years before you make big statements like that).

I am so glad Charles is back! I think Mark does a great job but I don't care for Jeff Van Gundy -- and can someone tell me if he and Stan are truly related as I perceive zero family resemblance. The other guys I like are Fratello and Reggie Miller.

I think the best is Hubie Brown. He comes across as just a regular guy with a lot of knowledge about basketball. And probably one of the best things about him is he doesn't have any catch-phrases that he says over & over again! Most of the other commentators or annalists get on my nerves. And most of them have either a bad attitude or are too cocky & are just trying to make names for themselves as analysts instead of calling the game. I'd rather watch the game on mute than listen to many of them.

he's. If he retired on the instant he could be a HOFer. He had the final prep to professional season ever.
