$1000 Walmart Certificate Survey! (spam)?
Do you know what these things are? If you click on the link, you first have to give them an email address: well, OK, I might do that, but then there's something about a home security system and they want your home address, and I'm outa here...
Have you ever pursued one of these so-called offers? Do you have to spend $5000 to get the certificate? How can Walmart be involved if it's a complete ripoff?

Don't believe everything that ends up in your in-box. It may be a surprise to hear that spammers and scammers LIE to entice people to fall victim to their claims. Just because they say Walmart is on board doesn't mean they are. They can write whateverr they want. Even the FBI has had it's name used in email scams. If you want to get up to speed on what's out there these days so that you don't walk into a trap, look up phishing, spoofing, spam email and email scams. Spending just a few minutes readng to get up to speed will save you a lot of time, money and grief.

This is a scam, and certainly not legitimate.
Walmart probably is unaware of their name being abused. I am sure you know about the scams mentioning famous names like Microsoft, Toyota, etc.
Do not be so trusting of emails and letters from unknown sources wanting you to be rich - their agenda is to get you to send them money so that they will be rich - not you!

Total spam. If you sign up with one of those "survey" sites, your inbox will be flooded with all of these "offers."
