How long will it take to get my refund once the hold is lifted?

HSBC financial, H&R blocks bank may have a verification hold on your refund. You need to call the IRS at 1800-829-1040 to see if your refund has been sent. I had the same problem. IRS had deposited my refund in HSBC, the bank for H&R block on Feb 6. After realizing they have my money, are loaning people money on with interest I became angry. That's my money they are getting interest on. I called H&R Block, they gave me the same answer they had been giving me--We don't know. I finally got the number to call 1800-409-6531. You will be placed on hold for a long time. Then answer some question to pass verification, they will release your refund within 48 hours.

This hold appears to be a scam:

They told me the IRS had flagged my refund. They did not know why. I believe they did a credit check and saw I had a FRAUD alert placed on it because of Identity Theft. The IRS had released my refund. The BANK MADE THE DECISION TO HOLD MY REFUND. I do not understand this. When I got my taxes done I had to show Valid State Picture ID. They had no right to hold and use my refund. This has got to be illegal.

the refund should be released on the day the hold is lifted, not unless there is still issues. If you have not filed all your tax returns from 2002 through 2007 then IRS will continue to hold the 2008 refund until you are in full compliance.

How long would it takes to get my school refund at HCC once a hold has been removed from my student account
