Having a problem with kitchen granite color with rest of kitchen.?
Dark wood cabinets. Black custom hood. Dark green granite that looks like black from a distance. Stainless sink is out of question. Walls faux finished with warm sienna brown, golden undertones. Husband likes oil rubbed bronze faucets. Think it is all going too dark. What do you think?
I should have elaborated a little more: the color of the granite is verde peacock, which has rich caramel color and some black along with the green.
Changed to golden waves granite. The answers here convinced me I was going "too dark." I think this will be a better mix of colors.

Its always nice if the cabinets contrast with the countertops a few shades. With dark wood cabinets youll need to go very dark or use one of the lighter mid tones of granite, something with a creamy more marble like look, with umber and then the bronze faucets will work. Otherwise with the dark green the red in the bronze will contrast too much. Id recommend used a aged pewter finish if you keep the dark green counters..I hope that anwers your question. Try to be patient with each other, remodeling is challenging for couples.

I think your dark green granite will make it too dark. With the warm sienna/golden walls and rubbed bronze faucets, I think a granite with lighter green with with some golden flecks and maybe some of the sienna colors would really warm up the kitchen and add some pop. You didn't mention the color of your appliances but if you are not going to do stainless, the room will wind up dark. Make your granite a focus to pick up your warm walls. .

Yes it sounds dark, but dark kitchens can look nice in the right houses..don't know what your flooring is...I think to pick out your faucets...put your cupboard sample, granite sample, paint chip sample, floor sample all together and look at the faucets and the different colours..this will give you an idea what your kitchen will look like all together and is a really good way for you to decide.

It does sound a little dark. I would maybe get a lighter green color (a shade in between the dark green and a light green).

Coming from Description- it sounds good, but it would be better for people to answer if they had pictures.
