33.
We've been married for almost 4 years, we have a good "nest egg" saved up, we've paid off almost all of our debt, we're in a stable place in our lives, the clock was ticking/I don't want to have a baby past the age of 35 due to the possible risks.

I was 16 days away from being 16/1/2 years old when i had my son. It wasn't planned so i didn't know i was ready til after i got pregnant and then i told myself I knew that i could do it, and that i was ready for parenthood and i was ready and can do it, i may be young but i think i make a pretty good mom and most peeps tell me i make an excellant mom. :D.

19 when I conceived and 20 when she was born.
My husband (who was my boyfriend at the time) and I weren't trying, but we were both ready. We were both kind of like "if it happens, awesome, but if it doesn't, we'll wait" I was young, but I don't regret it for a second. I think you just know when you're ready both emotionally and financially. I'm 23 now and he'll be 27 next month and we're trying for baby number two :)

34, and knew i was ready bc the pt was positive, LOL
glad i was older and married, already tired of the going out and drinking, partying type stuff as was hub; already been to college and had a great career going (that i hated, LOL) and was in college again with a double major in another field.....hub had a good job, so i am able to be a sahm...i always knew that if i had a baby, that i wanted to stay home with my baby; i am petrified of daycare and unknown sitters, esp while my baby can't talk and tell me what happened that day....
Source(s): RN (still registered, but hope to never work as a nurse again, if i am lucky and successful in my other field if i go back to work; hub said i could stay home indef...:O) - 1 decade ago
i was 20 years old, i wasnt with my partner very long before i fell pregnant but thankfully he was very supportive. 4 years on we have 2 little ones and wouldnt ever look back.
And at the end of the day, whos to say whens the best time to have children. It will happen when its meant to happen. Your life is already mapped out for you.

before you go all hurump I was already married and i felt ready to be a Mommy but when the time came i was scared silly to the point that when my time was due i went to the bus station around the corner where i used to live and hid in the bathroom until my older sister-in-law sought me out and found me. at the time i was terrified but now that my daughter is 29 i laugh about it.

Got pregnant from a date rape at 16. So I was 17 years old, poverty stricken, and unmarried when I gave birth to my first baby. I had no choice in the matter , I just had to do it.
