What are the racial demographics of the world?

Vintage, I am asking this question because I am a journalist and I cannot find what seems to be a valid answer. The link you provided did not give me an answer either. I'm not asking about infant mortality rates or immigration patterns.

One might expect this to be simple but the real problem is in classification of the races. For example, in the north of India are the Aryans, considered "white" or "Asian" depending on who is doing the counting. In the south are the Dravidians and who knows how they are classified?

Thanks to all you posters who provided basic percentage breakdowns. I really want to see linked sources to understand how these numbers are determined. The question is still up in the air for me until I get a site with some reasonable process for determining the percentages - and the percentages.
