My male dog marks his territory in the same spot where my boyfriend sits (2x). Does he dislike my boyfriend?
My Yorkshire Terrier has urinated twice on the bed in the exact same spot where my boyfriend was sitting. One time I even think he tried to urinate on him. He is house trained and I do not have problems with him marking his territory in the house. I am truly trying to understand if my dog dislikes my boyfriend.

no he's just trying to prove that he is leader... when your dog pees and marks his territory... it means that he is showing that that spot that he peed on is HIS territory... I hope this helps!! Watch "it's me or the dog" it's a show on animal planet and it helps with questions like these... good luck!

He probably sees him as a threat to his territory. If you are constantly praising and loving this dog even when he exhibits aggressive/territorial behavior then these actions by the animal should not come as a surprise. I'm sure you don't praise him when he wets your bed, but you could be "empowering" this behavior without knowing it.
Time to show that dog that you and your b/f outrank him.

This would be funny if it weren't a problem. Yorkie not fixed is he. marking over the boyfriend's male scent.A territorial dominance issue. Maybe crate time when the BF is over.

Your dog is just trying to make it clear that you are his girl.
He needs to be reminded, in a kind way, that he is a dog and you aren't.

no it isn't that he dislikes him he is just trying to tell your bf that you belong to him. he is jealous. i had a cat that did this to my husband. needless to say i had to get rid of the cat when he peed on my actual husband while we were sleeping, that was the final straw!

he probably dose not hate your b-friend. he is just showing him who owns the house. you need to take action with your dog and tell him who owns the house!!

he's telling the BF that is his spot to sleep so he better stay off of it.
