How well do Cockatiels Hear?

I was wondering if anyone knew what the distance a Cockatiel can hear at, how far,just curious.

    Their frequency response and acuity are similar to a human's, except they don't hear low frequencies as well, but they can resolve faster transients than we can (i.e., they can detect more structure in a sound than we can).

    A cockatiels hearing is more sensitive than most people think it is. That's why it is always best to speak to him in a quiet, soothing tone.
