Why should kids go to summer camp?
I am 15 and I am trying to convince my parents to allow me to go to summer camp. The main reason they wont let me go is money. I am trying to think of all the good stuff that I would get out of camp. Its a dance camp (I am a dancer) but it is a few states away. Why should teens go to summer camp?

First off, I agree with many of the other comments. Camp is amazing and a must for any child - period.
As far as getting your parents to allow you to go, I'm a big fan of getting a part time job (babysitting/lawn mowing) to show your parents that you're serious about wanting to go.
I'd also suggest checking out the following article on how to budget for summer camp (http://www.choicecamps.com/knowledge-center/articl... it might help your parents find an affordable option.
If you're still looking for dance camps I'd suggest Brant Lake Dance Camp. They run a program that is second to none and its worth checking out. I've included their link here: http://www.choicecamps.com/overnight-summer-camps/...
Hope that helps -

summer camp would be an awesome experience. i did not get the chance to go for the same reason, my parents could never afford to send us, except for Girl Guide camps, and that was fun!
Some specialized camps like the one you are interested in offer scholarships, look into that, also try to see of you can get a part time job to work towards it, or if you are to young, do chores for uncles, aunts and neighbours. If your parents see you are making a true effort to try to get yourself there, they may be more willing to see what finances can be rearranged to help you go.
It will be an experience of a life time, a chance to meet new friends, and be away from home for awhile. if you are going a few states away, you will not get total shock when you go away to college, because you have already been away from home. the friends you make and the lessons you learn will stay with you forever,

I certainly have a 9 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous daughter. She loves summer time camp! They flow on field journeys, she gets to work out her buddies everyday, and do distinctive activites and crafts. i like the director of her camp and he or she retains the youngsters busy from the start to end, yet its not OVERLY based. issues could be a splash laid back considering is summer time trip. i'm valuable a babysitter coming to the residing house could be super too as long through fact the babysitter is interactive with the youngsters, and the are stored busy and don't sense the summer time became a bust through fact they have been bored, then its effective. perhaps get a babysitter that drives so as that they are in a position to flow on "field journeys" to the flicks, park, skating rink or in spite of. you do not want their brains in impartial over the summer time they could desire to stay energetic, and save their innovations challenged, by potential of not observing Spongebob all day, so residing house initiatives and crafts are appropriate

Unfortunately money is the main factor here. They don't have the money. Go get a job and pay for it yourself.
