How do I back out of a bid on ebay?

I placed a couple bids, they both have a few days yet of bidding, but I'm not so sure anyone else will bid on them, and I'm not interested in them any longer, is there a way to back out of a bid??

Yes, you can retract a bid. Go to the attached ebay website and complete the form.

You may have membership problems with eBay if the Seller puts up a stink, as part of the agreement that you make with eBay is that you promise to follow through.

Can't say it hasn't happened to me more than once.

No, there is no way of backing a bid. But you can send a message to the seller after the auction is ended that you place a bid by mistake, and he will probably not charge you.
