I loved it! It was brilliant, but I didn't get past John's Speech, but I've read pretty much 1,000 pages out of 1,200 so I understand most of it.

It's mainly about big corporate owners in a dystopian world where the government tries to constrict the strong in order to feed the weak, of course this ends up sucking the life from the strong and in turn the weak end up failing just like the strong and so the world falls apart by the wallet.

Now the main character is Dagny Taggart a railroad tycoon type person who goes on trying to fight for her railroad to ensure it's success but as the world's smartest minds start to go so does the life of her railroad that she clings to desperately. In the end disappearances of those strong minds ends up making her wonder where they go which she finds out near the middle of the book.

It's truly an amazing book where the main theme is " the strike of the mind" when the mind refuses to work and in turn shows the world what happens when such minds leave.

It portrays Ayn Rands philosophy of objectivism
