micheal chang in the 1989 french open...... and he might be american born chinesse tennis player...
can another asian player win.. wel it would more then likely happen on the womens side.. we have a few good oriental players... it is strange to think Ali Sugiyami never won a slam in her younger days.. but she does very well with the doubles..
we have Shau peng, and Na lee, and Lee na and a few others who could do something...

Actually he's Asian-American. I don't believe there has ever been an Asian-born grand slam champion

Micheal Chang was a good Asian player (not from Asia, but nevertheless Asian.) The best men's Asian player is Nishikori. He has a lot of talent and potential.

Michael Chang is the closest thing to Asian to have won a GS. The reason I say closest thing to Asian is because technically he is American and won the GS as a American citizen representing America, but we all no he is of Asian origins.

i think no body.but mansur bahrami from iran was in french open final in 1978 0r 1977.
andera agasi has iranian father too.
