How do I stop Windows Live Messenger from automatically loading each time I switch my pc on?

Close it from Startup.

Run>Msconfig>Startup

then unchek the windows live

tools > options > general

then under the heading Sign In you untick the box that says Automatically run windows live messenger when windows starts

Iff you have Vista, go to start, type in msconfig and press enter, a new window will pop up, click on start up and uncheck windows live if it has a check mark on it.

Let it load, then under settings somewhere is a check box that says something like 'Start with Windows' un check the box.

tools - options- general - uncheck the option- automatically run windows messenger when I log on to windows messenger

Turn it off in the System Configuration Unility.

Start > Run > type MSCONFIG in the text box and click OK.

Start up TAB and untic it.

START -> RUN (type "msconfig")-> ENTER-> go to services and uncheck "msmsg" (or something like that, it can change) -> ok -> and restart

goto actions > preferences > untick run when i turn on my computer...or run when windows startup
