year 2000 mitsubishi lancer problems?

i have a couple of problems with my mitsubishi lancer..

1st is the strong smell of gas that is coming out of the exhaust

and 2nd every time i start the car the temperature is always too low that i have to rev the engine for like 5 mins just to get it to normal temperature level otherwise the engine dies all of a sudden

any idea what is wrong?

both of these problem of mine.. are they connected?

    clean the mass air flow sensor, tune up the car, and get a new air filter.

    sounds like the gas mixture is to rich.

    i agree.

    i guess change the cabin filter,engin.filter and should be fine.

    u might have to replace u'r catilac as well, located underneath u'r engine.
