it's your internet. try going wired and see. his connection is more stable. and if he's using the internet, you will be kicked out. Sharing internet connecting slows down and weaken the signal but you are suffering more because you are on wirless connection.

It would be worth seeing how strong your broadband connection is to your PS3, if it is wired it is obviously at 100% but if not it is worth checking out. If it is wired you should test your connection speed. You can do this by going on a pc and going to the website pasted below for a braodband test, it takes 2 minutes and is quite accurate. Anything below 1MB is extremely slow. There are ways of increasing wireless connection strength e.g hook 2 routers together, mobile internet dongles or simply moving the PS3 closer to the router. Failing that you can contact the PS3 team through the website.

I think Infinity Ward have done this on purpose out of respect. We wouldnt want to hear MW2 blasting away on some youths Dolby Surrrond 5.2 system whilst observing a two minute silence for rememberence day now would we!!! Besides it gives IW a chance to evaluate the servers after a days heavy use. I had big troubles connecting to my clan yesterday, hopefully this will be sorted.
