Why is the bible the most stolen book?

I'm really curious...I'm not judging, but I am wondering.

If Christians are supposed to be good people, who don't commit crimes such as stealing - why is the bible the most stolen book?

Update:

I don't understand how it's confusing...if Christians don't steal, why is the holy book of Christianity the most stolen book?

Update 2:

http://msn-list.te.verweg.com/2006-January/004134....

I suppose the ratio of books printed to books stolen could make sense, but surely book stores only really stock a similar number to most other books.

Do you have any evidence that it is? And, if so, is it the most stolen in absolute terms or relative to its publication? If memory serves, the Bible is also the most widely printed book in history. Logically, more Bibles means more to be stolen.

  • It is probably all the atheists and Islamics and other like Hindus who are stealing out Bibles to find out why they can't get ahead like a Real Genuine Christian. then the Second reason is so they can study what you have not and confront you with questions you cannot answer.
