Is it difficult to rent an apartment after having a foreclosure in your credit score?
Well to the landlord who answered:
I bought my condominium in the peak of the realstate 'boom", all togueter I am paying around 2000 thousand included the asociation, the reason I am more stresed is because my husband lost his job, I've worked in my job for 5 years, and 10 years in this feald all togueter, i "think" i can pay a rent of 1300, if I managed to pay 2000 until now, he's been unemployed since november, and I haven;t missed a single mortgage payment, but I have relied on my savings, you can't judge someone just because of the reasltate situation, some of us are still able to pay a decent more reasonable rent.

A lot of people in foreclosure are there bc of dropping property values or rising adjustable rates, not poor debt management. You may have better luck with an individual than with a corporate type apartment and just show that you were fine until xyz happened and that you have sufficient income to pay the rent. Good luck!

I am a landlord and I would have a problem renting to you. If you weren't able to make mortgage payments, I'd have to wonder how you'd manage rent. Everyone has to live somewhere though. You might get a landlord that will rent to you if you can pay a few months in advance

With the glut of available properties you may only be asked to pay a larger deposit. Most landlords/owners care more about a criminal background check than a credit background check.

I just rented an apartment to someone in September who had foreclosed - I asked for a co-signer. So far they have been great tenants.
