In a yu-gi-oh duel, What cards can be used to defeat Obelisk the Tormentor?

Obelisk the Tormetntor is an excellent card indeed, i have to be honest. However every card has a weakness.Here are some basic facts about Obelisk.

Effect- "This monster requires 3 tributes to summon (treated as a Special Summon). Sacrifice 2 monsters: Destroy all of your opponents Monsters on the Field and inflict 4000 points of Direct Damage to your opponent's Life Points.

Weaknesses-

Now with Obelisk being powerful it has a huge amount of stars, and will be hard to get out. 3 sacrifises are needed and getting 3 monsters on the field isn't so easy as people think.

You may not want to destoy obelisk by attacking how ever these cards should really help:

A really good weakness for obelisk requires the three MAGNA WARRIERS:

Beta The Magnet Warrior

Alpha The Magnet Warrior

Gamma The Magnet Warrior

Brave Attack

Brave Attack allows the threee magnet warriors to add there attack points together: 4500

Which beats Obelisk The tormentor. Thtas the way yu-gi did it in the TV show.

TRAPS:

Mirror wall (Halfs attack of a monster, but you must pay 2000 lp to keep this card)

Spell Binding circle (Permently traps monster and it cannot attack)

Mirror Force (The best defencive trap in existance, reflects attack back and destoys all face up monsters on the field)

Shadow spell (Traps your monsters and it cannot attack and looses 700 atatck points)

Invisible wire (Destoys monsters and send to graveyard)

Trap Hole ( Destoys monsters ith more than 1000 atack points)

Gravity Bind ( All level 4 monsters cannot attack)

Magic Cylinder (Destoys attacking monsters and oppenet looses number of LP of number of ATK points oppents monster has)

The easiest way to defeat Obelisk is with Smashing Ground, Fissure, Lightning Vortex, Mirror Force, Torrential Tribute, etc. Really, anything that does not target will work on Obelisk.

What would u do?

the actual effect of it is that you can tribute a monster(s) to let obelisk gain the monster(s) attack points.

Obelisk the tormentor is the only god card you can legally use in tournament play. This is because it is the only one with a set attack value. However, it does not gain its effect because it is not writtenon the card. So its just a 4000 attack point monster. Which is great, but it can be beaten by a lot of stuff: any trap spell, or monster effect which destroys monsters, and there are still plenty of monsters that can beat it.

It's a 15 year old boy story named Jaden(Judai,Jaden's name in Japan) and he can see card spirit too,within 4 years at the school he gain the power of darkness and destroy the evil in darkness,GX ended on episode 180 so in the end evil is banish and Jaden leaves the academy 1 year early to go on a journey to become an adult and grow up,i didn't watch all episode thoe,but that's all i know,and one more thing,Yugi give Jaden Winged Kuriboh card,in the first episode.

if you want to get that monster then get the card exchange. search it up on google. I'm going to tell you want it does. you and your opponent show there cards they are holding in there hands. then your opponent gets a card from your hand and you get a card from your opponent. so when you know that she or he has the obelisk the tormentor use exchange. if you don't like it then I'm going to tell you even a better monster than no one can never beat not even with traps or spell !!!! EXODIA . search it up on google if u don't know that monster either. but you need all five pieces. these are the pieces. you need his right and left hand card then get his right and left legs card and finally get his head card. when you finally have all these pieces put them together and you have exodia. exodia has no attack points or def points because he doesn't need them. he has his special ability. his special ability is that when you summon all 5 pieces you when automatically . i hope i helped you. oh and like i said you need all the 5 pieces and his full name is exodia the forbidden one

My way to defeat a God card like Obelisk is to just overpower it, simply as that. Say for instances, you control a Cyber Dragon & a face-down Interdimensional Matter Transporter Trap Card & you have 2 more Cyber Dragons in your hand with Power Bond & Limiter Removal, you activate Power Bond & Fusion Summon Cyber End Dragon & double its atk to 8000, but you want to overpower it, so you activate Limiter Removal & raise CED atk to 16,000 & oblterate Obelisk, then you activate your IMT trap card & remove CED from the field until the end phase of your turn, thats 1 way to take out a God Card.

There are a lot of cards that can beat obelisk (eg) Ring of Destruction, Mirror force well thats a few of them. And yes, u can use cards to take conrol of it like snatch steal, change of heart, brain control and so one.

You can say they can not use it and since there are no texts on it effects of cards that work in the television show if you play by the television rules for gods you will have to overpower it. I suggest The Five Headed dragon or blue eyes ultimater dragon or dragon master knight. or you can you and monster with 2100 or more attack and use megamorph
