Westboro Religious Antics?

Isn't it a shame that people see themselves relfected within others... What must this *Man of God* think of himself if he sees others as beasts deserving of punishment?

Phelps and his Westboro Church really aren't that different than most other Christian churches in the US. They just say out loud in public what the others say in whispers behind closed doors. And ultimately, which is worse: Running your mouth protesting at a funeral or quietly donating money to support legislation that strips people of their constitutional rights?

I'm surprised at his brazenness, but sadly I am not surprised when religious people do horrible things in God's name. Religion was created by man suit his own needs and exert power over others using fear. So far it's working pretty well.

God has nothing to do with any of this nonsense.

It's things like this, and the Inquisition, and the Fundamental Latter Day Saints, etc. etc. that do the most injustice to Christ and his church.

The problem is not atheists, agnostics, pagans, deists, etc.

No, the problem is the people who call themselves Christians but aren't.

If Phelps preached against all sin, he wouldnt be the heretic he is.
