How to tell if a person is really a true friend?

Chances are she is talking about you the same way. The best way to tell if you really have a true friend is if they stick with you through the hard times and are there for you without telling your business to everyone else. Someone that will tell you how they truly feel about decisions you make good or bad but also stick by you when they don't necessarily agree with you. True friends are hard to find but when you do they are worth the wait and make sure you do everything to keep them in your life.

If she calls those people her friends and then talks badly about them behind their back, then I would be careful.

I have known people like this. It's better to keep your distance. You can still be friendly, but you shouldn't tell her things that are personal or secret.

Only time will tell if a person is a true friend, and always trust your gut instincts.

the only way to tell if she's genuine is if u never find out "the hard way" that she's been gossiping about u behind ur back. then u know she doesnt do it. but if she does do it, and has done it already, it'll come out one day.

a good friend is someone who will do things for u without u having to ask them, and want to spend time with u no matter what u do during that time, just for the sake of being in ur company

You can only assume she does if she speaks poorly of everyone else.

A friend like that is best left as an acquaintance if anything at all. Watch what you say around her.

if you want to find out if some1 is a good friend tell them a silly secret that seems big but isnt and see if they tell anyone

Develop a personal friendship with self. Become worthy of sharing intellectual gifts. Allow generic friendship to evolve. Cultivate attributes you would enjoy sharing as a friend.

Give her a chance for a while and she will have to prove it to you by keeping secrets and caring about what you have to say.

You can't just decide whether a friend is going to be true.

i think the fact that shes telling you these things about her other friends means she trusts you. but then honestly, unless she has a good reason to say those things about her other friends, she probably isn't true friend material

maybe u should find out why she talks about them... she could be weak... if its because something stupid that they did... shes not a true friend... she should get over it and remember u are who u hang out with
