not legally, it voids the apple and at&t TOS. Neither apple nor at&t will touch it if there's ever a problem after you take it to t-mobile in the US

Anytime you have an unlocked iPhone you could end up having issues. Since unlocking iPhones is not approved by Apple, there is no way to guarantee it will work alright. Some unlocking software will cause the iPhone to become useless over time. It might work alright at first but that may not stay that way forever. You also miss out on important bug fixes with an unlocked iPhone because you could not update the software.

You will need the data plan from t-mobile which I believe is 29.99.

The iPhone will work on the T-Mobile network, it's just that the programming is not supported. This doesn't mean it will be useless, just that if there is an update, it won't be received by your phone. You would need a web package to get it going, and they range between 14-35 dollars. You would also need to get a SIM subsidy unlock for it so that your new T-Mobile SIM card will work.

It will work fine on T-Mobile. You don't need to sign-up for some special contract for internet. If you want internet then a data plan would do. If you need unlocked iPhone, you can mail me or talk with me on Yahoo!

If you want to try unlocking an iPhone yourself, try this site out - I unlocked my 8Gb 2G last year using them, and after my folks got me a 3G for Christmas, I used then again to unlock it. My phone works great on t-mobile and the whole thing only cost $18 for both the phones.

Yes, but it isn't legal. It will be very slow, too and you won't have any updates.

Just don't. I mean, if you would like to avoid being illegal.

Yea, but you have to have some hacker code. Ask around for the code.

it will work, but not as good.

No updates and such since you're not connected to AT&T. And a lot of other stuff won't work.
