Hips after having a baby?
I just had a baby ten weeks ago.
I am 22 years old and my hips have gotten noticeably wider and I just want to know if they go down any?
I have a dumb mirror picture that was taken today.
I suppose I am a little self conscious of my hips and breast sizes since having my son. It could just be hormones? Who knows.

I just would like the opinions of other mothers, how long did it take for your hips to shrink, if at all?

Um, you are gorgeous and have nothing to worry about!! Especially if you only had the baby 10 weeks ago!!! I was told by my midwife that second births are easier as your pelvis is a bit bigger than first time around, so maybe your bones never go back. As for any excess weight on hips (which you don't have by the way), it can get suctioned out pretty quickly by the baby if you are breastfeeding.
I think all mothers are self conscious of their bodies after having babies, not matter how gorgeous they are. It takes a good year to get back to a shape you are happy with and sometimes longer for others. Do some pilates and go walking. They are both beneficial exercises for mums. At the end of the day your body will never be what it was before you had baby, but you can be so proud of what you have now . You have a beautiful son and should be proud of your new body!

OMG girl, you just had your baby 10 weeks ago?! I hate you lol! I had my daughter 4 months ago and I have saggy breasts :( and a flabby stomach, still, even though I didn't gain much in my belly area, besides the stretched skin. I even breastfed until I lost my milk a month ago, and I'm trying to relactate....I miss my breasts lol. I'm 19 and I am soooo jealous of you! You look amazing honey. I wish I looked that good now lol. I didn't have hips before I got pregnant. Well, not really. I almost had an hourglass. After I got pregnant, I have a balanced figure, though, so I haven't lost my hips and I hope I don't. You might, but most people I know that got wider hips kept them and look better than before they got pregnant.
