If you could create an All-Jerk baseball team, what would be your lineup?
3 OF required (LF, CF, and RF preferred)
1-9 batting order required
DH optional (if you choose not to add a DH, at least 1 pitcher is required)
5-man rotation optional (but preferred)
CP optional (but preferred)
Computer permitting, I'll post mine at some point before the weekend.
Heckler, Bonds can play either LF or DH (but, unfortunately, he can only be used once). Put him wherever you prefer.
Stephen K, I would prefer active players only because it's easier to remember them, but if you can remember an all-time All-Jerk team, feel free to take that route.
Utter Chaos, if it helps, A-Rod began his career as a Seattle SS. Bowa might still be the bigger jerk all-time, but that's before my time.
As promised, here's my squad.
Lineup
1. 2B Alfonso Soriano
2. SS Derek Jeter
3. DH Barry Bonds
4. LF Manny Ramirez
5. 3B Larry Jones (you might know him better by his nickname)
6. RF Jose Guillen
7. CF Milton Bradley
8. 1B Dmitri Young (this was a tough one for me, because if I didn't find him, I'd have to put Albert Pujols here among active players)
9. C Jason Kendall (only because I like Pierzynski and I have to hate everyone on my Jerk team)
Pitching
1. Carlos Zambrano
2. James Shields (this probably won't sit well with jbounassi, but my All-Jerk team is mine alone)
3. Brett Myers
4. Brad Penny
5. Brandon Backe
Closer - Jorge Julio (although not currently closing, he does have 9th inning experience)
apples fritters, I can see why you'd think I'm a Red Sox fan based on my SS selection, but I assure you that, if Jeffrey Maier ever makes it to the majors as a SS, Jeter will no longer be on my All-Jerk team.
Gangsta, you currently have Victorino on your list twice, both times at the same position (CF). Meanwhile, you don't even have a 2B. Fix all three of these if you hope to have a shot at Best Answer.

Are we talking of current players or an all-time all-star jerk team?
