The Thylacine and the Chupacabra?

Is the Thylacine the same, or at least of the same family, as the Chupacabra? If not, what is the link/connection between the two, if any? If so, why are there two different names that seem to make a distinction between the two?

This may be a difficult question considering no one is able to compare and contrast their behaviors/patterns/attributes, etc.

Well the chupacabra isn't officially recognized by science. Therefore, it doesn't have a scientific name so it's uncertain of anything.

More specifically, the Thylacline was a real Australian (or Tasmanian) marsupial. The Chupacabra is a Mexican Myth. The Thylacline could never have been in any position to be the origin of the Chupacabra legend.

The difference is that one was a real animal. The Thylacine once existed but in now extinct. It was a marsupial. The Chupacabra is a myth..completely made up, no such creature ever existed or ever will.
