So is there gonna be a Smallville Season 9?

No decision has been made but it doesn't look good.

1. Main cast have commented they are ready to move on and were relunctant to sign on to the current year. Some have already left.

2. Ratings and show standing have been falling every year, this year is no exception. The longer a show is on the air, the more expensive it is to make. Falling ratings and increase cost reduce profitability.

3. The CW did look into making a show about Robin (from Batman) in his pre-Batman years. Public feedback was so negative the project was killed within days. So there are no similar shows in line to replace it. But that doesn't mean they won't end it.

From what i hear the CW is working on a show based on the Comic Character Robin (from batman and robin) and if they choose 2 green light that show it will be the end of smallville...

I don't think anyone knows for sure yet, last I heard was it depended on Tom Welling and whether he wanted to do another season. I hope there's another season too.
