Why does the Stockmarket keep falling?
I understand the markets well but why do people keep selling off? A year ago oil was high that's why the markets were falling. Then the bailout was rejected and the market went down. Then the bailout was approved and the market went down. New president, millions of jobs saved ect.

Investment banks and hedge funds are still in the process of deleveraging. Big money is on the sidelines waiting for a start to run up in the S&P. Once this happens more of that money will be invested and push prices up. No one knows where the bottom is so don't get caught up in trying to pick it. There are good solid companies with great PE ratios and paying dividends. Look for companies have been conservative over the long run and have steady year over year growth.

Everyone is in panic mode, everyone is moving the 401 to money markets to save as much as they can. No one is investing their money. I like many other had to cash in 401 to make ends meet.
