I'm trying to convince my parents I can get a dog but they never listen! I've tried to prove it but they just say 'Well done' and don't do anything more. At the start of the year mum said OK-Yes but now shes saying Maybe-No. What do I do!!!

Well, it sounds like you were able to convince them you were responsible enough.. now you just have the pester them.
There was one idea I heard once that would be interesting to try. You could go get one of those joke leashes that looks like you're walking a dog, and take it around the house talking to it as if it was a real dog. Then tell them, if they're not going to get you a real dog, you'll just have to have a pretend one.
If my kid did that, I'd have a hard time saying no.
