Should I say something about the potent marijuana smell?
About 2 months ago the building manager sent out a memo to all of the tenants. Her concerns were about the excessive noise and among other things she is very concerned about the strong smell of weed. I came home tonight and all I could smell was weed and it bothers me because I have 2 small children. I got really disgusted when I went into my pantry and I could smell it. There are only 3 families in my building. Should I say something to the land lady?

Not only should you let the landlord know, you should call the police.
The landlady cannot take action against the offending tenants without undeniable proof. The police will write up a report that the smell of marijuana was present (at the least) and may investigate further.
You should not have to deal with having your children exposed to the smell of weed.

Take it up with the people themselves. I am a full supporter of recreational marijuana use, but if it's bothering your way of life you have the right to complain.
And no, the only thing wrong with it is the smell. It does not kill brain cells, has never been proved to be a direct cause for any type of cancer, and is a hell of a lot better than secondhand tobacco smoke.

I would call the police, and then the land lord. Let the police come over and smell your pantry, and then go arrest the neigbors. When the land lord finds out she will throw them out, and then problem is solved.

The ignorance of some of the answers here is astounding.
Someone is enjoying some Mary Jane while watching a movie probably, not causing any harm. If the smell bothers you, take it up with them. You live there and have the right to complain.
Welcome to reality people, Marijuana isn't as harmful as those old warnings your Mommy game you.

No, because your landlady is not law enforcement.
The next time you smell weed, call the police, they'll bring out a drug dog and they'll find which apartment it's coming from.

Yes, get those illegal people out of reach of your kids. After all, their safety should be the number one priority in a situation like this.

You definetly should not rat them out. You should worry about real drugs like crack or heroin... not some natural herbs.Too the other answerer, just the smell does not kill brain cells... LOL how much anti-marijuana propaganda have you been watching.

I think you should say something, she already has noticed it so it wont be like dropping a bomb or anything.
