What are you going to do with the extra $ 65. the Dems are letting some keep each month?

What the heck kind of a tax cut is this? They are joking right? These money grubbing politicians think they are really doing us a favor. They think we are all stupid. They spend that much on their bottled water everyday.

Update:

I know we can all use every bit of this $ 65.each month, but my point was, why not give us more back, it is our money. God knows they are giving it away everywhere else. If we have more to spend the economy will improve much faster.

I'm saving it so I can give it back to them when Obama lets the Bush tax cuts expire.

Well I guess some think it is ok to spend that amount on bottled water now who is wasteful? The plain truth is most could just use any kind of break here.A whole segment of the working population got hit from every direction,we didn't get time to recover or redo budgets, higher Energy bills higher, food, pet meds, office visits went up,prescription drugs, rents, gasoline,in fact everything you use in daily life all at the same time.Where is the outcry??FOR THAT? While President Bush gave away billions to keep crooks and millionaires afloat? If you don't need that money be grateful, the Children's Burn Hospital desperately need funds, donate. For the rest of us anything that gives some Relief at this point is welcome.

Well it is more than Bush gave you! Hmmm...$780 a year. Bush's stimulus check was all at one time. I've heard about people who want it all now...and then spend it all in one place. You know there are people that can use that money each month and it would make a difference.

And you can thank Bush for the National Debt...10 trillion as of Sept 2008. China bought 2 trillion of it.

It will pay my water bill every month.

I don't know about you, but with me and my husband, every little bit helps. If we can get one or two bills paid a month that way, then it would ease some of the strain that we are under.

And no, we are not a couple of young kids that got in over our heads because we bit off more than we could chew. We are a couple of grandparents who had to take out a second mortgage on our home to get custody of two of our 8 grandchildren because their mother is living with a convicted sex offender who is not their father. We have had the children since they were born (10 months apart) and when the mother decided she was moving in with this guy (3 years after she walked out on her kids) and she wanted them back, we did everything we had to in order to insure their safety. Now, because of the economy, my husband has not received any bonus in almost a year and we have taken a pay hit because of it. We are fighting off foreclosure and if we just had a few extra dollars a month, things would be better.

So, if you don't want your $65.00 per month, then send it my way, I won't be offended at all.

Over the course of the year, that equals about $750. That might not be a lot to you, but to someone making an average salary in the low 30K (and that is about 50% of workers make less than that) that is approximately 2% of annual income that they are getting back.

With that $750, you might be able to pay off some of your credit card debt or purchase something like a microwave or stereo system or a new tv or pay the worker's share of the health insurance offered by your employer.

    EDIT:

Let's use a married couple with two kids making $50,000 a year between the two of them -- in other words a lower middle income family. For 2008, they would have paid a grand total of $966 in income tax. With this tax cut, they will be paying a total of $216. At some point, somebody has to pay some tax to keep the government running.

Unlike you, some will be able to do serveral things with that extra $65 per month.

    For example:

    Buy more groceries

    Pay a bill

    Put gas in the car

    Pay for prescription

Save it for a rainy day. And if you learned anything from Obama's campaign, you should know that regular small amounts can accumulate to quite a nice nest egg.

    next...

I'm gonna set it aside and save it for the future. Some day, the "bill" will come due to pay for this "spendulous" package and I'm pretty sure that my monthly bill (increased taxes) will be MORE than what this "tax cut" is. Therefore, I can utilize this to help offset the high price tay I will be forced to pay down the road.

Now they whine about getting some money

If you do not want yours give to local charity of person next door, or go buy something to make their day

Buy something and send it to our troops

Buy some milk for your kids

Put in bank for rainy day

Buy a book on elections and politics

many things a person can do but one thing I know first every got money for nothing going to take it.....since it is our tax money anyway

idea...set up web site for all the rethugs who whine to send it there and then would have more to do something with...like for person who really needs it.

they wanted more but the re thugs said NO again

I am going to use it to help out the local food bank...

As an older Military widow on a pension $65.00 makes a world of difference to me . That would mean that I could pay a bill and still buy enough groceries for a month. That is around the amount that my rent is going up BTW so that my Landlord can afford repairs ..

I just came from a question raging about how Obama is going to impoverish the rich and have the poor rolling in luxury.

    65 bucks!

I think the irony whiplash just broke my neck.

I don't mean that as a snideness to anyone, just to go from one viewpoint to the next in the space of one question made me dizzy.
