Let it sting for a bit, then take a deep breath and remember there are TONS of other options out there, distract yourself with something you enjoy, and move forward.

Not everyone we dig will feel the same about us, and vice versa. Rejection is something most people will experience in life...be it relationships, jobs, etc. It's okay though...we wouldn't appreciate things nearly as much if we always got just what we wanted.

rejection for anything? if and when i deal with rejection and failure, this is my thought process: Of course, I first feel disappointment and shame at "losing." I then feel anger, mainly at myself. Then, I close of all my feelings and I heal myself emotionally by slowly distancing myself from the situation. Then, I'll continue to pursue until I get what I want. Throughout this whole thing however, I kind of subconsciously keep a stony and non-caring look plastered on my face. Although, if we're talking about love here, then I would guess that it would either make me want the person more, or I would decide that they're not worth it and become cold emotionally (although they wouldn't be able to tell because I would still act warm towards them). But I rarely ever openly pursue, so I've never actually faced rejection in that matter.

I used to not deal with it at all. When I was in school, I would make asking out girls like it was a joke so that if they did reject me, I could play it off as a joke. When I got older I looked at rejection like something that was meant to be. You can't dwell on such things. You either accept it or try harder but the choice is up to you. I'm not one for giving a second chance so I usually just go on and not think about it any more but then, I pick whom I ask out on a date so I'm seldom rejected any more. In fact, I'm the one doing the rejecting. Try to reject someone without hurting their feelings. It's tough and in some ways it's a lot tougher than being rejected.

    Hope this helps.

there are many ways to deal with it. some people may go and ask someone else but thats not the right thing to do. because who knows you may get rejected again and thats just covering up the real problem. sometimes doing things to keep you busy helps. or just laying low and hanging out and watch soap operas. :) start kniting! good luck!

I usually do the rejecting, and I don't attach easily... so that's not much of a problem for me usually.

I guess I just read, and keep on doing what I love until someone else comes along... eventually, you stop thinking about it so much.

i usually blow it off and go running or go to hestein's to play soccer for a while. running and playing sports helps me take out my anger. its a good way to deal with rejection without making yourself feel bad and not "worthy".

just move on. thats all i can say. move on and find someone even better. if that person was dumb enough to reject you then he's not worth your time or effort. so just find someone new. there are waaaay better people out there. find someone who you know will be good for you.

    get your best friend over.

get a tub of ice cream, chocolate syrup, whip cream (all the sweets you want)

    and about 6 chick flicks.

then just cry and cry and joke with you friend and then after your remorse, move on.
