can cavities 'grow' even if you brush 2-3 times a day with anti cavity toothpaste?

my friend told me she had a cavity that was so small, that she didnt even know it was there, and that you had too look so closely in the mirros to notice it. she just wants to kno if the cavity will stay the same size or even go away if she uses toothpaste that help protect against cavities.............thanks.

If the cavity is small, a lot of times the dentist will put a watch on it and check it every 6 months at your regular checkup appt. You can sometimes go years without the cavity getting any bigger by brushing properly and flossing and using fluoride. However, once a lesion on the tooth is a cavity it will not go away. You can only prevent it from getting worse. You want to keep it in the enamel and not let it reach the inner layer of the tooth (dentin). That is when the cavity goes off "watch" and needs to be treated w/ a filling.

Don't freak out yet. I'm a hairstylist and losing 100 plus hairs a day is completely normal. Losing hair can also be due to stress, excecise routine, diet and many many more. Have you started any new medications? Had increased stress? Also, do you color your hair or highlight?
