BlackBerry Pearl And Verizon...?
Okay so you guys know that Verizon charges $30 bucks EXTRA a month for using a BlackBerry, so what if I were to get a BlackBerry Pearl from a friend with Verizon, and activated it through the phone services. Good Idea or BAD Idea

No way around it, if you are on Verizon & want a blackberry you will have to get the data plan!!!!

Beside the fact that having a Blackberry without a data plan is simply nonsense, either way when you try to activate it with Verizon they will "force" you to get the data plan and if you don't want to they can refuse you the service.

Verizon would still ding you for it, if you want to use the Blackberry's functions. Consider going to Sprint where you're not charged extra for blackberry usage =)
