I am trying to open an attachment to an email. It keeps "scanning for viruses" and cannot open it.?

This is from one particular source. They tell me there is nothing wrong from their end. All my other emails are OK. I am using Panda protection.

Could be a conflict between your A/V and Yahoo's Mc AFee A Yahoo posting suggests that you disable scanning attachments in your anti virus software. If that fails go back to classic mail via this link. http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/dc/optout?script=no click yes when asked do you want to opt out. Hope this helps.

  • The person who sent it might have an infected computer and not know about it. Or it could be a very large attachment

Maybe they are lying to you. Probably because there is a virus in the email attachment
